Volunteer Requirements
Parent participation is mandatory for a successful swim season...We appreciate your help with this!
- Each family is required to fulfill at least 5 shifts for the regular season.
- A shift is one half of one dual meet
- (1st shift is events 1-48 and 2nd shift is events 49-90).
- Post-season meet (prelims, championships, and /or All-Stars) participation will require an additional shift at each meet to cover the team’s obligation to supply volunteers. There will be no buy-out offered for post-season volunteer requirements.
- A shift is one half of one dual meet
- You may buy out of your regular season shifts for $450.00.
SIGNING UP FOR VOLUNTEER SHIFTS IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. You are responsible for finding your own replacement if you are unable to work a scheduled volunteer shift. All no-shows will result in a $75 fine to be paid prior to the next dual meet that your swimmer is entered in. Additionally, any unworked shifts will be charged a rate of $75 and are due at the end of the regular season, prior to Prelims/Championships.
Our team Presidents, Mallory Cuzner ([email protected]) and Rebecca Mitchell ([email protected]) must also be notified as soon as possible if you are unable to work a scheduled volunteer shift and can help assist in finding a replacement. However, the responsibility is on you - we simply cannot run a successful season without full participation from parent volunteers at meets.
The minimum age requirement for volunteering is 13 years old. Stroke & Turn Judges can be trained and volunteer at age 15.
